Shawn Gallagher, MBA

Shawn Gallagher assists our clients with investments, retirement planning, risk management consulting including life insurance, and other financial advisery services. 

 

Shawn is a Springfield native, and has been like a member of the Piatchek family since birth (his late father Charlie Gallagher was a local business legend and John Piatchek’s best friend--so Tina Gott, Joe Piatchek, and Shawn grew up together).

 

Shawn has a financial services background in banking and commercial lending; he was Financial Development Specialist for the American Red Cross, and taught Personal Finance through the Explore! program of Springfield Public Schools.

 

This led Shawn to pursue his teaching certificate, until Piatchek & Associates offered a path back to the work he says he enjoys most: helping clients reach their financial goals in an intimate, independent environment. And Shawn still has the heart of a teacher…which makes him a very good fit for those who seek our guidance and expertise. 

 

Shawn says his time attending Villanova University gave him a renewed appreciation for the qualities that make Springfield a wonderful place to live, so he continues to give back by supporting local nonprofits, sports, and culture.  

 

In his off hours Shawn enjoys time with his wife Marla and daughters Roxy and Brinkley, Mizzou football games, varied cuisines, and as much travel as he can fit in.  An avid reader, Shawn can often be found browsing the shelves of our local Barnes & Noble (where he also moonlighted a bit while pursuing his teaching credentials).
